How did we ever find anything?

Way before Global Positioning Systems (GPS), there were Trip Maps (might have that name wrong) from Triple A travel agency or Thomas Brother's Guidebooks.

I don't know how we ever got to anyplace.

I know fiction writers, who somehow create their novels without a planned, or hoped-for, ending.

That blows my mind. I can't and won't start a book without the whole overall story in sight. You can label that as an outline. From there, I go back and feed the thing to put some meat on its bones. Another pass at the outline, and I'll add as much of the buffet that will fit on the plate.

Final editing will einvolve trimming the fat and/or major surgery.

Okay, okay, there really is no such a thing as "final editing" for a writer. You just have let it go eventually....
